Sustainable employment
CHAPTER XVII
SUSTAINABLE EMPLOYMENT FOR TRIBALISED COMMUNITIES
Global limits - Sustainable assurance
Equitable rules for tribalized communities
CHAPTER XVI
EQUITABLE RULES FOR TRIBALISED
COMMUNITIES
Mediation - Individual and societal needs in a legal structure - The intermingling of Western and Eastern legal systems - The de-professionalization of law.
Mediation is a process of conflict resolution which asks the individuals involved in a dispute to reach an equitable solution. It relies on the sense of fairness held by the majority of the population - it upholds the collective morality. During mediation the parties seek to preserve their major interests and continued functioning. It opposes awarding the spoils to the stronger and acknowledges the over arching concern of the social and communal fabric - the collective rights. It conveys an attitude fostering the development of negotiation and cooperation. Mediation sees the world as a web of obligations, concerns, feelings, and thoughts.
Who judges the law?
CHAPTER XV
WHO JUDGES THE LAW?
Types of law - Legal systems and culture - Eastern and Western legal systems
As the restrictions and prohibitions are multiplied in a country, the people grow poorer and poorer. When the people are subjected to over-much government, confusion reigns across the land.
Lao Tzu
Law is listed in the Oxford Dictionary as fifteen concepts. One of the major concepts is the legitimizing of what already exists such as the common law of England. The common law legitimizes the common usages that existed in England since time immemorial. Law can also be a morality (the law of Confucius), or a cultural expression of accepted business practices (mercantile law), or an expression of political theory (Russian law).
Adding more
Submitted by forbes leslie on Tue, 2006-08-29 20:28I have, I hope, added Chapter 14 to FTC.
I intend to add a chapter each day until completed. Then I will turn my attention to the whole site and attempt to make it easier to understand for me and new readers. It seems an awful messy business right now. My experience has been that projects only make sense when used and that is what I intend to do.

Organizational governance of tribalised communities
CHAPTER XIV
ORGANISATIONAL GOVERNANCE OF TRIBALISED COMMUNITIES
Membership - Weighted vote - Direct democracy - What constitutes a majority - Leadership - Election -Continuity of deputies - Management as a social function
The organisational structure of tribalised communities must encode values such as
a sustainable economy and protection of the environment. It also must meet the demands for personal authenticity and an effective voice in governance. Such an structure must be replicable and applicable whether the organisation is publicly or privately owned, whether voluntary or paid, whether governmental or non-governmental. The processes used within the organisation must elicit a common expectation of how agreement is reached, whether it be for business, social, or political, purposes.

Sovereignty and Consumerism
CHAPTER XIII
SOVEREIGNTY AND CONSUMERISM
South Africa - Cantons
The shift of power and people to the megalopolis, the global market, and consumerism, brings with it psychological, emotional, and social, changes. Changes, of which the breakup of the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia, and the marriage statistics of the United States, are integral parts. Changes, that are obvious in the megalopolis.
The megalopolis powerfully attracts people of all backgrounds. The multi-racial melting pots of Los Angeles and London testify to a worldwide drift of people towards the prosperous urban centres. A drift composed of those who seek to join the specialization in that centre, and economic migrants.
Tribalized Communities and the Megalopolis
CHAPTER XII
TRIBALISED COMMUNITIES AND THE MEGALOPOLIS
Venice - Bioregions - Economic capitals
An industrial corporation gathers, in a community, an agglomeration of specializations. As a community it is devoted to producing an article of trade and the specializations interlock for that purpose. Most corporations have not improved on the feudal baron directing the efforts of his community. The manager directs the group's efforts. This model now has to share power with its workers and also gain power from national governments.
As workers gain autonomy through their specialized knowledge, a corporation becomes more like a village community with specialized trades. It has an image similar to a clock making village in Switzerland in the Middle Ages. An industrial community doesn't need to be gathered under a corporate roof. A community also doesn't have to be industrial.
The Partitioning of Power
BOOK III
THE FUTURE STRUCTURE
CHAPTER XI
THE PARTITIONING OF POWER
Power sharing - Other grouping attempts
Concepts are useful when they help us understand ourselves or our times. In 1914, the Germans, the French, and the British, went to war because they were German, French, or British. National pride was so strong that men went to a war that a sane person would have avoided. By the time the Americans were in Vietnam national pride was too weak for them to die for it. They would support their buddies, but they were not there because of national pride. The concept was no longer strong enough to make men go to war.

Submitted by forbes leslie on Sat, 2006-08-26 01:19I believe I have posted Chapter 11,The partitioning of Power, and everything is complete up to the end of that chapter. Somehow the logic behind the blog is not obvious to me. It is not usually clear to me where I am from how I read the blog. For example I cannot go directly to Forming Tribalized Communities and see what is completed - or if it is there I cannot understand what the text is telling me. For example I re-wrote the end of Chapter 9 and then found it was already posted. I did not know it was completed the first time I looked.
When I talk about strategy what I am saying is that sections need to be clearer so that visitors know what is available and can go there directly. Perhaps it is me, but in blog entries I am not sure if I am in a thread or not, - is it a blog entry on a topic by Augustin, or by me, or by someone else?
