I'm crazy about a singer.

Recently, I'm crazy about a singer.
He is good at singing. His name is Van.
I cry when I listen to Van's songs.

I like one of the song. The tittle is "Love Story". It is a beautiful love story. A boy waited for a girl .
But he knew that the girl didn't want him. He still waited and waited. It rained then. He thought that the star were laughing at him.

Forceful advertising on Eggs / Animal cruelty: the right to know.

BuyBlue.org just mentioned a new egg-vertising scheme, whereby egg shells will be used as a medium for delivering yet more advertising to the consumers:

On Monday, [CBS,] the U.S. broadcast network was to announce plans for placing laser imprints of its trademark eye insignia, as well as logos for some of its shows, on eggs - 35 million of them in September and October.

Help everyone go on a diet

There are too many people who become fat.
A lot of people always eat too much meat and hate to eat vegetables. There is too much protein and fat in our body. And it's not good for our health.

I think everyone will get more and more slender when they want to improve their diet.

The important is how they eat. When we eat too much junk food and we seldom exercise, we'll get fatter and fatter. Maybe we can see the nutrition facts on the packaging when we want to eat some food. If there are too many calories and the food is not good for our health, we must seldom eat this.

Working towards positive change

This is the first time i've been on this website, so I'm not entirely sure how everything works. But I'm just going for it.

Lao Tsu of China said in 700 BC "Go to the people, live with them, learn from them, love them. Start with what they know, build with what they have. With the best leaders, when the work is done, the task is accomplished, the people will say: 'we have done this ourselves'"

It's words of inspiration, said so many years ago, but really addressing a key issue of humanity - one that needs to be actively understand by anyone working with others. Even locally, with the communities we are involved in we need to "start with what they know, build with what they have" in order to allow individuals the ability to form and shape their own opinion of the world by educating them and making them more aware. The world does not need a bunch of poeple who think the exact same way, we need people who look inside themselves with their awareness and realize what they can offer the world whether that be internationally or locally. It's the idea of "thinking globally, acting locally" - an idea that we should all take to heart.

The American political circus

Lately the Neo-Cons have started a crusade against the New York Times, claiming that they revealed state secrets by publishing an article that talked about the government tracking monetary movement to control potential terrorists.

Journalist Keith Olbermann but together a brilliant piece, showing that for years Bush himself has been making public statements to the same effect. What hypocrisy!

Share the Truth: the difference that one ordinary person can make.

Share the Truth! That's what Eric Pan, an ordinary US citizen, set out to do.

Do you want to go to the movies for free? Eric and many generous visitors of his web site offer you a ticket to see An Inconvenient Truth.

Following Eric's and many other people's example, it is by changing little things and caring for each others that we will dramatically change our planet and the global civilization that inhabits it for the better.

An Inconvenient Truth: in selected US theaters.

When well known people move ordinary people into action, we may well be on the way to a global solution to our planetary problems.

Those are people who are enabling change.

And you?

Lawmakers confrontational attitude is hurting our society

Yesterday, I was lauding Hau Long-bin for his willingness to work with people from opposite parties for the common good of the people. In the last 6 years, it has been obvious that most politicians have put their own parties first and the real long-term interest of the people last. It may be because their own political ambitions depends on how the party fares in elections, and they think that helping officials from another party, even if it's in the best interest of the people, will be detrimental to themselves.

This confrontational attitude exists across the political spectrum, but it has been especially acute among pan-blue supporters since they lost the highest executive post in 2000. I am very ready to admit that president Chen Shui-bian has many faults and that he has been a less than ideal president, but we must recognize that he has constantly been trying to extend olive branches both to the opposition in Taiwan and to the mainland Chinese leadership. He has made efforts to reach out to the other site, certainly because it was his interest to do so, but the Taiwanese people would have also benefited a lot if that olive branch had been accepted.

We need more politicians like Hau Long-bin who put service to the people before party politics

I would like to show my approval for former EPA chief Hau Long-bin for his political attitude. Recently, he has been criticized for having cooperated with people from different parties. Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) Taipei mayoral hopeful Hau Long-bin (郝龍斌) yesterday denied being a "political chameleon.":

Hau, a former Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) chief, has vowed to raise the integrity of the KMT's primary and had previously declined to comment on any accusations from rivals.
